That said, while better than earlier versions, AOMEI's bootable USB sticks &/or their WinPE environ installed to the hard disk doesn't work for every device. In either case it's easier to have it already installed than to bother with boot disks/drives or downloading & installing partitioning software. I only use it very occasionally, rarely to tweak partition sizes, and more often to get rid of the extra win10 recovery partitions that happen every so often with win10 version updates/upgrades. It's a good app that's worked well for me - I add it to all our Windows devices. > 8.5 GOTD, though I haven't found a changelog. Otherwise many of the files making up AOMEI Partition Assistant are updated going from 8.2 -> 8.5, & also 8.5 std. I've tried in both a win7 32-bit & win10 64-bit VMs, & had to use the standard or free version of Partition Assistant to get it to register to Pro - the GOTD install appears to register but restarting the app the registration key & upgrade icons are there - with the standard version it goes away & stays away. Please note: the offer includes 1 year license! Create second Ext2/Ext3 partition on SD cards and USB flash drives without formatting.
